

Thelma Alice Morrison (nee Jacobs) Passed Away peacefully on March 31, 2016 with family by her side. Born in Chatham Ontario in 1915 to George and Hanna Jacobs. Predeceased by Husbands Jeremiah Morrison 1978, Nevin Fisher 1961, and twin brother Vern Jacobs 1976, Bernice. Step son Guy Morrison 2002 (Joanne). Sister in law to Gloria Batten (Norm) and Brother in law Bud Morrison (Jane). Survived step children, Tom Morrison, Gayla Morrison and Barry Morrison (Diane). Also survived by her brothers son Richard Jacobs wife (Carol-lynn) and by daughter in law and close friend Donna Campeau, (Ted). She was the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Due to health issues with her father Thelma started her working career in Chatham at the Sugar Factory at the age of 15. Later she would start with Chryslers in the Chatham office then to Windsor where she spent a total of 33.5 yrs as a secretary. Retiring from Chryslers Thelma and Jerry built a comfortable cottage in the north, where they had a few years with many stories, until Jerry's death in 1978. Thelma's many talents / Piano, knitting, crocheting, calligraphy and her love of her family and many friends would be her recipe for a long and fruitful life. Her last five years were spent at Chartwell Retirement Home on North Service Rd. Windsor, where the staff and residents became an extension of her family. Special thanks to head nurse Kim and her staff, she loved you all. Visiting will take place Sunday April 3, 2016 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held the following day, Monday April 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation an hour prior, which will all take place at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre; 1969 Wyandotte St. E. Windsor (519) 252-5711. A luncheon will take place following the service at Lilly Kazzilly's, 9550 Riverside Dr E, Windsor.The internment will take place following the luncheon at the Bethel Cemetery; 11052 River Line, Kent Bridge ON. Donations to the sick kid's foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
