Peacefully on September 22, 2015 in her 99th year. Beloved mother of Alan and his wife Janet, Chris, Rose and her husband Larry Bezaire, and Wendy and her husband Brian Knowler. Cherished grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 10. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. “Freda” was born in Birmingham, England on December 15, 1916. She was a proof reader for a publishing firm before WWII. During the war she was with Naval Intelligence before coming to Canada in 1946 as a “war bride”. She was well known for her pastry skills, loved her cross word puzzles, playing cards with her fellow “Card Club” ladies, and was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue (519) 254-3223 on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 2 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Anderson Memorial Chapel at 4:00 p.m. Cremation.
