Keith Skeeter Nash Reed

Keith N. Reed, 63, of Winnemucca, passed away Thursday August 5, 2011 at the Humboldt General Hospital. He was born on October 12, 1947 in Provo, Utah to Merrill W. and Georga Fae Reed. He graduated from Orem High School and then spent six years in the U.S. Army. He had worked for the last twenty years, driving truck in the gold mines.

Keith married Joyce Rumbo in Elko, Nevada on November 6, 1999. He enjoyed restoring his 1957 Ford Fairlane Retractable. He was a member of Kayote Kruisers, the National Rifle Association and the North American Hunting Club. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers-in –law, Robert Rumbo, Bill Rumbo and Junior Rumbo; two sisters-in-law, Imogene Noble and Carol Denisson; and two nieces, Patti Davis and Amy Reed. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Reed; children, Jody (Craig) Mattinson of Spanish Fork, Utah, Trina Zavala of Huntington, Utah, Darren (Vicky) Early of Springville, Utah, Trish (Larry) Nichols of Winnemucca, Nevada, Sharon Cornbuckle of Hobbs, New Mexico, Allen (Jan) Boyd of Odesa, Texas, Debra (Don) of Pineville, Oregon and Bobby Joe of Odesa, Texas; grandchildren, Ian Early and Connor Mattinson. He is also survived by his brothers and sister, Roger (Jackie) Hutchinson of Reno, Nevada, Allen (Marilee) Reed of Payson, Utah and Debra (Blaine) Conover of West Jordan, Utah.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the Albertson Funeral Home, 47 West First Street in Winnemucca. A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Albertson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will take place at the Winnemucca Cemetery immediately following the service.
