Andrew Daniel Neufeld

After a lengthy hospitalization our beloved son Andrew passed away peacefully on the evening of July 7.

He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Daniel and Susan, as well as his sister Megan (Scott), and brother Jordan.

Andrew is also survived by his Grandparents Peter and Marie Dueck, Uncles and Aunts Harold and Debbie Dueck, Sharon and Daryl Wiebe, Sandra Dueck, Ron Neufeld and Louella Johnson. As well as cousins Jon (Arlynn) Wiebe, Aaron Wiebe, Cari (Keenan) Bentham, Rebecca Neufeld (Carter Johnson), Thomas Neufeld, Lisa Johnson and Josh Johnson.

Andrew was predeceased by his Grandparents John and Katie Neufeld as well as his Uncle David Johnson.

Andrew was born in Winnipeg on April 2nd, 1987.

At the age of 4, Andrew went to live at the St. Amant Centre. We are forever grateful to the Grey Nuns and the staff (especially those on 3 East ) for the care and love that Andrew received.

In his later years Andrew moved out of St. Amant and into a Pulford Community group home. Our thanks and appreciation go out to the staff at 123 Minnetonka. Thank you for being such an important part of Andrew’s family. Thank your commitment to caring for Andrew, especially through the challenges of the pandemic.

In spite of his many challenges, Andrew lived his best life. As a child Andrew enjoyed his Saturday mornings in the pool with his family. His Sunday afternoons were spent going for drives with dad. While at St. Amant Andrew attended the St. Amant school, ultimately graduating at the age of 21. One of things that Andrew enjoyed was music. Andrew liked to play anything that had a keyboard.

Two of the more unusual experiences were a sailing program in which Andrew participated in and a whirlwind trip to Disney World.

Andrew, you will be missed.

A Funeral Service for Andrew will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pulford Community Services or to the St. Amant Centre.
