Remembered With Love

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arlene, with family by her side, on February 8, 2025 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg.

Arlene had a warm, loving spirit and welcomed everyone who came into her life with open arms. Family was most important to her, and she cherished every moment spent with those close to her heart.

Arlene’s caring personality drew people to her, making long-time friends wherever she went. Her favorite pastime over the last few years was exercise classes at the South Winnipeg Community Centre. Here she shared lots of laughs with the staff and fellow participants.

In 1966, she married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Kozlowski. Together they had three children, Kyle (Joanne), Todd (Kathy), Dayna (Dan), and created many memories spending time at the lake, with friends and traveling.

She would continue to make lasting memories with her life partner and love, James (Jim) Corps, and welcomed his children Melanie (Tyler) and Scott (Amber) into her life.

Her grandchildren - Tyler, Matthew (Eryn), Michael (Kat), Arden, Stone, Simon (Iva), Alex, Brady, Corin and Austin - were the light of her life.

Arlene is predeceased by her husband Bob and parents, Harold and Elizabeth Shepherd.

She also leaves to mourn her siblings Dave (Shirley), Gordon and Kathy, nieces and nephews, and the many people she has brought into her extended family.

A special thank you to the amazing staff at St. Boniface Hospital. We are extremely grateful for the support and care she received during her final days. All of you make a real difference.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

If you have stories, memories or pictures of Arlene that you would like to share with the family, please send them to [email protected].

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 19 at South Winnipeg Community Center, 666 Silverstone Avenue, from 1 to 5 pm (come and go). All who wish to celebrate Arlene are welcome to attend.
