It is with great peace but broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grand and great grandmother, Betty Harman.
On Monday, March 11, 2024, Betty was taken home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Her life was spent for him in service to others. One of her greatest joys in life for 68 years was to remember him every week. Her other joys were to be around family and friends visiting or playing games and knitting in any spare time.
Betty leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Lawrence. Daughters - Darlene (David) Brown and Karen (Bob) Miller. Grandchildren – Arianne (Matthew) Day, Kyle, Ryan, Jason (Julia) Miller, Joelle (Lloyd) Peters, Darren (Yaxiera) Harman and Breanna (Brent) Bankston. Great grandchildren – William and Evalyn Day, Taylor and Lucas Peters, Andrea and Isabella Harman, Brooklyn and Baker Bankston. Her daughter-in-law - Charlot Harman. Her twin sister and best friend, Barbara Gislason and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Albert Haacke, and Emma Jane Smith, stepfather David Ethelbert (Bert) Smith, her siblings Ruth Milner, Gladys Jessop, George Haacke and Beulah Goertz. Her deepest sadness was the homegoing of her son, Jeffrey Lawrence.
