Catherine Burak

With her daughter by her side, Catherine Burak, peacefully passed away on January 8, 2013, at the Victoria General Hospital.

She is predeceased by her husband Nicholas, daughter Gaye Lynne, son Barry Michael and grandson Christopher. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Patricia and numerous family and friends throughout Canada and the U.S.

Although the journey was often difficult, she was blessed with a special angel, who was with her every step of the way. Thank you Agnes for your years of love, support and encouragement as mother travelled this difficult path.

Someday, it won’t hurt so bad and I’ll be able to smile again. The tears won’t flow quite as freely whenever I think of what might have been and the answers to “why” and “what if” won’t be quite as important. I’ll be able to use what your death has taught me to help others with their grief and I’ll be healed enough to celebrate your life as much as I now dwell on your death. And someday, maybe tomorrow, I’ll learn to accept the things I cannot change. But for today mom…I think I’ll just be sad. I will love you forever and always.

Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date.
