Dorothy Elaine San Filippo

MAY 20, 1930 ~ SEPTEMBER 6, 2012

Peacefully and surrounded by her children, our cherished mother was carried by her angels into God’s loving arms, and finally reunited with her beloved Charlie.

Dorothy’s caring and compassionate nature endeared her to all who knew her. She was a woman of great inner strength, courage, and spiritual faith. Always one to see the sun shine through any storm, her advice was filled with logic, wit, and humour, and we are all so honoured and proud to have called her Mom.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, our Dad Charlie. She leaves with love her 4 children, Bunny Fontaine (Georges), Rick (Pat), David (Karen), Michael (Alison), 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

To all her friends “Thank you”. Her legacy of love lives on in all of us. Much appreciation to the staff of 8A, 5E, and 5B at the St. Boniface Hospital.

Prayers will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm at St. Emile Parish, 556 St. Anne's Rd.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
