Suddenly on August 10, 2010 George passed away at St. Boniface Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary (nee Dyck) and children Julius, George (Donna), Maria (Albert), and Evangeline (Perry), grandchildren Grace (Gian) Sharlee, Vincent (Aron), Jacklyn, William, and Georgina, and great grandchildren, Perry, Dylan, Phoenix, and Marley. He was predeceased by son, William (Bill).
George retired from CP Rail in 1994, but his love of trains was lifelong.
A sincere thank you to the staff of 4E for their care and compassion during his brief stay.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home.
Pastor Trevor Hudson officiated.
Private family interment was held at Brookside Cemetery.
