Isis Rosabelle Chadee

Isis Chadee passed away peacefully on March 22, 2016 at the age of 80.

She is predeceased by her husband, Sylvan, daughter, Lisa, and her four siblings.

She will be greatly missed by her three daughters Karen (Manuel), Deborah (Arthur) and Jenny, her three grandchildren, Mary, Sophia and Gavin, and many other family and friends.

Isis met Sylvan in Trinidad where they were both schoolteachers and loved working with children. They married and immigrated to Canada and continued teaching in schools in Quebec and Alberta. She was a generous and loving mother, and her love, care and admiration for her family was the focus of her life. She was happiest at family gatherings surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

In her spare time, Isis enjoyed reading, drawing, sewing, knitting, crochet, bingo and she especially loved word games and scrabble. She greeted everyone with a smile and a positive attitude. Her ability to embrace each and every day with enthusiasm and optimism was truly inspiring.

Thank you to all of the wonderful people at Riverside Lions and Meadowood Manor who cared for Isis over the last five years.

A private service was held.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association of Manitoba.
