Jessie De Lima

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jessie De Lima, also known as Essoy, who departed this life peacefully on January 3, 2026. Jessie passed away at the age of 59.

Jessie was born on April 18, 1966, to parents Flaviano and Procerfina De Lima in Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. He later immigrated to Canada with his parents and three siblings in search of a better life abroad. From an early age, Jessie had a love for camping and traveling to many places. He cherished time spent with his family and extended family, and fishing was his ultimate favorite pastime.

Jessie had a kind and generous heart. He was always willing to help family and friends in need and treated everyone he met like family. His selflessness, warmth, and giving nature touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Jessie is now at peace.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Regina; his only child, Rhea (Chris) Calitis; his mother, Procerfina De Lima; his brother, Joseph (Irene) De Lima, and his children Amber, Flaviano Jr., and Josephine, and the late Myles; his sister, Joyce (Wayde) Edwards, and her children Erica and Jennifer; and his sister, Jeanette (the late Allen) Dela Cruz, and her children Gabriel, Jaerrod, and Alliyah.

Jessie was predeceased by his father, Flaviano De Lima, also known as Tano.

A funeral service to honour and celebrate the life of Jessie, also known as Essoy, will be held on January 15, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home.

A Mass will be held on January 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Roman Catholic Church, followed by a reception in the church foyer.

Cremation will proceed following the church service, with interment at a later date.
