Khhem Monica Singh

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Khhem Monica Singh on May 19, 2023.

A devoted wife, mother, and forward-thinking woman who was a committed advocate for the empowerment of women. She encouraged her daughters to pursue higher education and for that we are eternally grateful.

Mom was an excellent cook and hosted weekly dinner parties that are still talked about. A lifelong volunteer both in her home country of Guyana, and in Canada, Monica was invested with the Order of Manitoba in 2015 in recognition of her voluntary service to the Province and women of Manitoba.

She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years Dr. Sobharam Singh. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by Tara (Bruno and Anjali), Sita (Garth) and Rumani.

The family would thank her caregivers who provided comfort and support during her illness.

A private service has already taken place.
