Lee was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Helen of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He will be sadly missed by his wife Colleen; son Dylan (Chloe); daughter Carly; brother Darren (Nadine); niece Jade; and many friends.
Lee grew up in the Richmond Heights area of Saskatoon. He was sports-minded, spending many days playing baseball and hockey. Being family-oriented, Lee combined his love of family and sports by coaching a variety of sport teams such as lacrosse, soccer and hockey all of which his son participated in. Lee also enjoyed watching his daughter play basketball and compete in dance.
An entrepreneur by heart and a natural salesperson, Lee at an early age built a solid clientele of business professionals through the sale of customized suits. This innate ability to connect with people and passion to provide stellar client-service led to his successful 20 year- long financial career with CIBC, Wood Gundy.
In 2003, the family moved to Winnipeg. Lee continued within the financial field, as an active member of the Canadian Society of Technical Analysts. It is here that additional professional connections were made, along with many dear friendships.
A memorial service will be held on April 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Thomson “In the Park” funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, followed by a luncheon.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff and residents of Tuxedo Villa Care Home as well as, the staff in the ICU at the Health Science Centre.
If friends/family so desire, donations can be made to United Way Winnipeg (204-477-5360) or online: http://unitedwaywinnipeg.ca/give-now/.
