Lillian McLean

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian, our mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She peacefully slipped away into God’s rest on Dec 11th at the age of 98.

She was loved by her children Wendy, Donald, Bonnie, her grandchildren Michael, Shannon, Teagan, Tiffany, Ben and Jon, Great grandchildren Brianna & Brett and special friends Gini & Mary Ann and so many nieces and nephews who were all so special to her. Family meant everything to Mom and we are held together by her love.

She was the last of a family of 5 sisters and 2 brothers who grew up in West Kildonan. She raised her family in St. Vital and worked for the City of Winnipeg in the taxation department. She enjoyed a long retirement in her condo in St. Vital apartment, at Meadowood Towers & for the last few years in West Park Manor where she received excellent and loving care. Thanks so much to all the staff there. You are the best.

Mom taught us to find humor in everyday things and she loved a good joke. Many generations loved her stories of woodland animals.

Funeral Service will be held on Dec 20, 2013 at 2 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home and Cemetery.
