

On September 26 at the Victoria Hospital Lloyd Fisher suffered a fatal aneurysm.
Lloyd is survived by loving wife Polly, to whom he was married to for 70 years. He is also survived and loved by four children Pat Chychrun (John), David Fisher (Elaine), Don Fisher and Kathi Fisher. He also leaves to mourn nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Lloyd is predeceased by brothers George, Jim, Richard and John, and son in-law Brian Forbes.
Lloyd was born in 1922. He and Polly were successful farmers in the Oak Bluff area for many years. Throughout his years he was involved in many community endeavors. He was involved in Boy Scouts, 4-H Club, Farmers Union, School Board and a wide variety of sports. In addition to his love of farming Lloyd was enthusiastically involved in other vocational pursuits, including work with Manitoba Crops Insurance, plus Custom Combining in the 1940’s.
During their wonderful years together Lloyd and Polly enjoyed travel. They visited Canada, United States, Mexico, Europe and Australia. They loved getting into their R.V. and touring the U.S. ending up settling in and making many friends in Yuma Arizona.
In 1997 Lloyd and Polly moved to South Park Estates in Fort Garry. Here they enjoyed participating in social activities with many new friends.
Above every other endeavor in his life, his devotion to his family was foremost. Nothing was too much trouble for Lloyd as far as his family was concerned. His love and devotion will always be remembered and cherished.
Funeral services were held on Friday, September 30th at 2:00 PM at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, with private family interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
