Lourdes Gomez Cabalu

Lourdes Gomez Cabalu, age 83, passed away on April 20, 2026 at Health Science Centre She passed peacefully in her sleep.

Lourdes Del Rosario Gomez, daughter of Alfredo Gomez and Visitacion Del Rosario residents of Capangpangan, was born on May 7, 1942 in Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines.

She met Reynaldo Cabalu in 1963 and married in May 19, 1965. They spent a happy 45 years together, until his passing on April 28, 2010. During this time, they raised five children.

Lourdes was the heart of our home and family. She raised five children; Reynaldo Jr. (Marivic), Josephine (Rene), Antonio, Nenita and Rolando.

Lourdes was married for 45 years to her soulmate, Reynaldo who preceded her in 2010. She was a grandmother (lola) to; Rheymar (Sara), Rhylan (Maeralene), Rhico (Trisha), Rheo Neil, Myles (Nicole), Emily (Raj), Brosnan (Aliah) , Jeremy, Anthony, Tony Jake and Kriston. She is also a great-grandmother (great lola) to Ethan, Michai, Ryan, Braven, Zyra and Ellie.

She attended all the events, and she was there for their graduations. Spoiling the grandchildren truly brought her happiness.

The two greatest joys in her life was her family and religion.

Viewing/Lamay will take place on Thursday, April 30 from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Prayers by Father Dado will take place at 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home.

A Committal Service will follow at Kildonan Presbyterian Cemetery, 201 John Black Ave, Winnipeg, on May 1, 2026 following the service.
