

Peacefully, Margaret Cordingley passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the early age of 98. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Lloyd, her parents Lena and George and siblings Mary, Anne, Tena, Alex, Joe, Milton, and Stanley. She is survived by daughters Janet (Roger) Hines, Betty (Doug) Lloyd, grandchildren, Carla (Jamie) Barnett, Cori Hines, Kellee (Brent) Boisvert and Colin (Lisa) Moir, 8 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and friends.
Marg was born and educated in Oakburn where she learned at an early age the benefits of hard work. She loved to garden and spent countless hours canning and pickling. She worked for the Royal Alexander Hotel for many yrs and then Rae & Jerry’s until retirement. Marg and Lloyd loved to travel, specifically to Hawaii. The family made wonderful memories at their summer retreats at Nutimik, Falcon Lake and Lac du Bonnet. Her passion was cooking for family and friends. Dad had a sweet tooth that Marg loved to satisfy.
Special thanks to the staff of West Park Manor who treated Marg with such love and respect.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 9th, at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway in Winnipeg. Father John Mostivsky will be officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Colin Moir, Brent Boisvert, Tyler Boisvert, Dennis Glowa, and Wally Hrabluk.
