Mrs. Margaret Feller Hastings

AUGUST 3, 1926 – APRIL 30, 2013

Margaret passed away peacefully on April 30, 2013 at Bethania Care Home at the age of 86. She was predeceased by George Hastings, her beloved husband of 46 years. Margaret will be remembered fondly by her sister-in-law Gloria Hastings, her many nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.

Margaret was born in Romania in 1926 and immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1930 with her parents, Jacob and Katharina Feller along with her brother Andreas. She met and married the love of her life George Victor Hastings in 1956 in Montreal. Moving to Manitoba, they spent many years living in Beausejour and Pinawa, more recently in Winnipeg.

Her family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Bethania Care Home for their caring for Margaret.

A graveside committal will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 1:00 pm at St. John’s Cathedral Cemetery with the Reverend Brian Ford officiating.

Flowers are gratefully declined, however, donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to a charity of your choice.
