Monica and Eric,

I was so saddened to hear of Margot's passing. My condolences to you and your families. We've never met, but I heard a lot of wonderful things about all of you from your parents over the years. In every story, the joy and immense pride they took in their family was evident.

I remember an evening many years ago at a German Choir of Winnipeg rehearsal, when your Mother said that she had heard my parents lived nearby and your parents would like to get to know them. The connection was made and that was the beginning of what turned into a long friendships for the two couples! There was a lot of visiting back and forth (usually featuring Kaffee with a schmackhaft sweet made by your Mother), some trips together, bringing each other produce from the latest garden harvest, and as they were very industrious on their rural properties, helping each other with numerous projects. It was always comforting to know that they had each other out there. How nice that our Mothers still stayed in touch after our Fathers passed away.

May your families' memories of your mother and father and their love for you sustain you now and bring you comfort in the future.
