Marni was predeceased by her parents Doug and Mina Johnson and is survived by two sisters and two brothers and their families.
Marni was much loved and cherished by her husband Ernie, daughter Lisa and husband Andrew, grandchildren Jayden and Jaya, sisters Laurel and Naomi and their families, special friend Janice, special cousin Brenda, special colleague Bonnie, and so many others.
We remember Marni as an act of profound love and respect. We remember that Marni added so much beauty to being human, she listened to her heart, she was kind, loving and patient, and remained true to herself. She loved the sun. She spent many hours in her garden amongst the flowers and tall grasses and she loved building fairy gardens with her family. As a lover of the creatures of the field and the forest, she considered her cats and dogs a part of her family. Marni was a fierce protector and lover of children, she was a writer of children’s books, she was loyal to her work with children and her colleagues especially Bonnie.
She had this way of brightening a day. She had a heart of gold. Marni made the world a better place. We miss her so much.
