I went to u of w with Marni. Have been trying to find her now and then over the years. Sorry I found her in the obituaries. We had some good times. I am so sorry for her family’s loss, my condolences.

I was very sad to hear about Marni's passing. I met her at WPCCC and I worked with her there and at Morrow Avenue. She was a lovely lady who I connected with immediately. She was extremely warm, supportive and she helped me navigate life in my early 20's having recently lost my mom. I admired her close and loving relationship with her daughter Lisa, She was very bright and a great problem solver. We recently reconnected on Facebook and she was the same sweet and friendly person-complimenting me on my family. I am so sorry for your loss Lisa and family. I will always remember Marni fondly and I am thankful that she was in  my life.

In our youth, Marni and I would do a cousin “exchange” for a week at a time.   She would spend a week with me in the city & then off we’d go to Sanford.   I have such lovely memories of that time spent with her, especially those hot summer days on the farm experiencing all kinds of adventures and kinship.   She was sweet, kind and fun-loving.  Marni will live on in my memories…

For 34 years Marni and I had been close friends and colleagues.  So much of our lives were mirrored.  Together we celebrated the happy occasions and we supported each other through the difficult times.   I miss the many phone calls, texts and emails each day.  Marni had always been a people person; parents and staff bonded with her instantly.  But the true measure came from the children – they adored her! The out pouring of calls and emails from our team, those who work in our sector and past and present parents that knew Marni has been emotional and heart warming. I only wish Marni could be here to read all these beautiful messages.  Two days before she passed, Marni was still texting me and told me she was sorry (for leaving) and then said, “I love you, B.”  My last response, “You don’t have to apologize for anything.  You know I would walk on water for you.”  
Goodbye my friend.    I will miss you everyday.

Marni was such a lovely lady and a great leader.  I was so happy when she hired me many years ago.  She always did her best for us, and me especially when my family was in very sad situations for two Christmases in a row.  I know I have thanked her before, but again, thank you for everything, Marni.  You will be, and are, missed.  My sincere condolences, sympathies and prayers to Marni's entire family.  May God bless you and keep you.

I’m very sad to hear about my cousin Marni’s passing. My condolences to Ernie, Lisa and to her  grandchildren and her family.  Marni was a lover of all animals, loved her job at the daycare looking after children. I remember and admired Marni as a strong person, sometimes stubborn but stood for what she believed in, never backed down on anything and spoke her mind within reason and was respected. She will sadly missed and too young to be taken away. Again my heart goes out to her family and friends.

I was surprised to hear of Marni's passing. 

I just wanted to send my condolences.  I never met Marni, however had many conversations with her about work.  I worked with her closely over the phone for the last 5 years or so.  She was always a pleasure to speak to and would go out of her way to get me the information that I needed!!!  Always happy when I  would call.

Condolences to her staff at the daycare, you have lost a great leader and condolences to her family from myself and the WCB.  

It is very sad to think of Marni’s passing. Her life was too short to see her grandchildren grow up and to fully enjoy her family.
Marni found her way in life through the love of children and by the support of Ernie.  She raised a wonderful daughter Lisa who with Andrew have two beautiful young children.
Marni wore a smile in her heart and will be sadly missed.

We met Marni and Lisa when our son attended daycare at MAG.  We all benefited from the loving care and support they provided us during those formative years.  Marni had a contagious smile for all and a twinkle in her eye when she interacted with the children.  We will always remember Marni as a gracious person with an abundance of patience, talent, energy and wisdom.  She really made a difference in our lives and for that we are truly grateful.

No words can express how we really feel, but want you, Lisa, to know that our thoughts and love go out to you on the loss of your Mom.  Even though I haven’t seen Marni in years, I still remember her gentle manner, her soft giggle and her wonderful smile. I am saddened for Jaden and Jaya’s loss as well, but am glad they are at an age that they will remember her with love.  Our condolences go out to you, Andrew, Jayden and Jaya. Marni was one of the nicest people I ever met.   I am only one of many colleagues whether they are current, retired or moved on that will miss her. I worked with her for 15 years and 5 of those years I worked closely with her at the daycare centre where she mainly worked. One of my favourite things about her was when she came into work she always had a smile on her face. She made every effort to talk to every staff she saw whether it was in her daycare centre where she mainly worked or went to visit other daycare centres. If she didn’t come visit she would phone and when you talked to her on the phone you could always tell she happy. When she was with the children she always loved talking to them and singing with them one of her favourite songs I remember her singing was I am a Pizza. The kids always loved her singing that song. She always loved reading them stories. Her laugh was infectious because she had some good jokes and with working with children they always have the most interesting and funny things to say so these types of things would always make her laugh and you could not help but laugh too. She was an inspiration to me personally and when I was going through a really hard time in my life she was very supportive. I will miss her dearly. I want to add I worked with her daughter Lisa for 4 or so years and she was one of the many people that not only I enjoyed working with but I took a lot of lessons from. I can’t say enough to her and her family how much I am thinking of them and I hope these memory’s can bring them some comfort.
