Michael William Chanway

On Monday, June 25th, 2012 Michael Chanway suddenly passed away at Concordia Hospital with his wife Mary by his side.

He was born on July 15th, 1969. Michael was predeceased by his mother Bylla Chanway and his grandmothers Christa Grossmann and Ann Chanway.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory his wife and best friend Mary Vermeer, his friend and dog Shelby, his father Garry Chanway and step mother Christine, sister Carin Branquinho (John) and nephew Branden. In addition to his aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends and fishing buddies.

Mike worked in home construction and was self employed and had his own company, M. Chanway Projects, building decks.

Mike was a lover of life and enjoyed it to the fullest with Mary by his side. He loved dogs and befriended many a pet. His passions were the outdoors, fishing year round, and spending time at his place at the lake; Camp Neustadt.

Cremation has taken place. A service celebrating Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 10a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Mike’s memory can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 9Z9
