With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Patricia A. Mulcahy, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on June 12, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on November 29, 1946, in North Vancouver, Patricia lived a vibrant and meaningful life devoted to family, creativity, and community. She was the beloved wife of Tim Deane for 21 years.
Pat was also the devoted mother to Jacqueline Rayner and Steve Rayner, and a proud, loving grandmother to Drey Rayner and Damien Rayner.
A woman of many talents, Patricia was both a successful real estate agent and a gifted artist. She expressed her creative spirit through watercolor and oil painting, capturing the world around her with sensitivity and imagination. Her art was a reflection of her soul—quietly powerful, deeply observant, and filled with warmth.
Patricia held a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a degree in Geriatrics, a combination that reflected her deep compassion and thoughtful approach to life. She was particularly devoted to the care and dignity of the elderly, advocating for their well-being throughout her life.
She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Mary Martin, Jacqueline Brooks, Anne-Marie Rathbone, Ron Langley, Susan Larocque, Edward Mulcahy, and her stepdaughter Chelsea Deane along with extended family, dear friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Patricia’s legacy is one of strength, empathy, and creativity. Whether in her professional achievements, her paintings, or her quiet acts of kindness, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
A memorial service to celebrate Patricia’s life will be held in private on July 5th.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in her memory to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at cpff.ca/donate/
She will be forever missed and always remembered.
We will see you in the stars.
