She is survived by her husband Clive, four children; Clive(Kim), Bob(Daniela), Reg(Kim) and Nancy(Chris), eleven grandchildren; Jade, Mikaela, Holton, Anthony, Dominique, Benedict, Grace, Faye, Libby, Ali and Nic and two great grandchildren Rose and Nora.
Pat was born in Pennant, SK and raised in Oxbow, SK. She graduated from Medical School at the University of Manitoba in 1956 and practiced anaesthesia until 1978. She then made a significant career change and started studying psychiatry. She obtained her fellowship in 1982 and practiced psychiatry at the Health Sciences Centre until her retirement in June of 2017. In the course of her career she received awards from the Schizophrenia Society and the Mood Disorder Association. She was made an Honorary Member of the Canadian Medical Association in 2014.
Pat was a fearless leader and a spirited woman. She was blessed with an incredible memory and an abundance of common sense. Her devotion to her profession was matched only by the love she had for her family.
Whether it be at the family home on Lamont Blvd. or the family cabin at West Hawk Lake, she could usually be seen and heard giving directions and marshalling people about. She loved to entertain, and adored being with her children and grandchildren.
Our Mom was the glue that held our family together and we all made sure she knew how much we loved her. We will miss her.
