and the memories you never wanted to lose.

that your heart finally feels light,
and that the pain you carried here has turned into something gentle.

Sometimes I catch myself wondering what you're doing, 
where you are,

If you can still see us,
that you watch over us when the world feels too heavy,
that you send signs when we need them the most.

Grief never really ends, but moments like these make it softer.

Ricky was a great friend. He was always happy to talk to anyone. He will greatly missed. Riverview will not be the same without him. He seemed to know everyone here, and was friends with all.

I just want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, support and kind words towards Ricky in this difficult time, Ricky has touched many hearts and souls 

It's amazing how many people who he has met throughout his life and has graced with his amazing smile and laugh, and no doubt he made a positive impact in your lives, weather it's in his care, spending time with him or just giving a hi and smile

Me and my family appreciate that more than you all know

You will always be missed, stay in our hearts.

🌿 “Rajpal’s Gentle Light”

Born on a September day,
At Misericordia, life found its way.
A brother, a son, a soul so kind,
With endless smiles, he brightened minds.

He loved the thrill of sports and play,
Movies that carried his heart away.
Nature’s calm, family’s embrace,
In every moment, he found his place.

An avid gardener, hands in the earth,
Painting colors that spoke of worth.
At Riverview, his spirit stayed,
Where love and laughter never decayed.

Visits from sister, friends, and kin,
Filled his heart with joy within.
Nine proud years of hockey’s cheer,
Wheelchair battles, victories near.

Through all he did, he softly taught,
The simple treasures life has brought.
A smile, a laugh, a gentle hand,
Reminders of what makes life grand.

Rajpal’s light will never fade,
In every memory, love is laid.
A brother cherished, forever near,
His legacy shines, pure and clear.

Ricky was always smiling and funny and calling me trouble I will miss him very much was a good friend

Tyler's birthday party- Everyone loved Ricky

My deepest condolences go out to Ricky's family. Ricky was the most kind and loving soul I have ever known in my life ❤️ He will be dearly missed but he will always live on in our hearts forever ❤️

Ricky (affectionately known as Rickles) and I were good friends for many years. I’ve lost track of how long I knew him, it just feels like he’s always been apart of my life. Rickles will always be family to me. 

We shared many adventures (our fun word for hanging out), whether it was at power wheelchair hockey or when I went to hang out with him and our buddy Tyler at Riverveiw. He always had a smile on his face, ready to hang out and make memories with his friends. 

Rickles was always “firing” my Dad, Keith (or as Ricky called him “Trouble”), for one thing or the other. Which I always found hilarious, especially since I can’t remember him firing me even once. LOL 

RIP Rickles. You are so very very missed.
