Ms. Rose Mary Funk Armstrong

FEBRUARY 23,1936 – MAY 4, 2011

Peacefully, my beautiful mother passed away following a brief illness with family by her side. Ma is cherished by daughter Bonnie (George) and grandson Michael.

She is survived by her sisters Mary, Helen, Tiena, Evelyn and Louella. She was predeceased by her father Bernhard and mother Marie, brothers William and Bernhard, sisters Sarah and Annie and her precious beloved son Terry.

Ma was a gift to all of us. Life was difficult at times but she handled it with grace and pride. In the hospital Ma said “how special my life is” and she would not change a thing. She was blessed and overjoyed. Even then Ma’s love was for others not herself. Ma felt things deeply, especially her love of family and friends. Ma was a stubborn woman doing what was right for her and no one else (I tried). Ma is a peace now surrounded by angels.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 11th at 10:00 at Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside Ave. A private family interment will take place.

A special thank you to Dr. C. Hildahl, the St. Boniface Hospital, Barbara, and all those who loved her.
