Condolences to Barry, Barbara , Letitia and families in the loss of your mother. Sheila always had a warm and welcoming smile whenever I  visited Barry on the family farm. I will always remember her kindness and generosity of spirit.

We are so sorry and saddened to hear of Sheila’s passing.  She was the greatest neighbour I have ever had the pleasure of living next door to.  Always so happy to see us anytime we stopped in for a visit. She loved to tell us about her family, we could tell she was so proud of you all. And she was always interested to hear how my kids were doing.

From the time I knew her through the Birtle United Church and the choir (and Bill  when he drove our kids on the bus), to meeting up with them from time to time in Brandon, and meeting Jim, and before she moved to Wpg, she was always welcoming with a smile, hugs and tea and cookies! I had the joy of knowing Sheila for the 9 months that I was working at Bergen Gardens, she would always said to me "come here" and whisper some news to me or a kind world, Sheila loved showing people her suite, she was very proud of it. The same group of women always sat with each other, and they will miss her very much, when Sheila wanted her black cherry ice cream you went and got it 😀, at least I hope i am getting the flavor right, getting her hair done by the famous, loving, patient Tia was a weekly highlight for Sheila, I was told she was getting her hair done since December 2023. One of my memories is every Friday we had entertainment and I would catch Sheila eye, and off we would go and have a dance. She was a joy to be around, and she will be missed deadly.

About a year ago, when Sheila moved into Winnipeg, she regularly attended our congregation, Immanuel United. It was amazing the number of people whose lives she touched in such a short time. Her openness and friendly inclusion was a gift.
We personally, are grateful for the bond we formed.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Sheila. We know that you will miss her very much. but know that you were so lucky to have her for so long.

Your Mom was such a special lady—always so friendly and willing to chat.  If I’m not mistaken, Don and I ran into her and her first husband at a country music festival at Craven!!  We had a nice visit with them there and they gave us their front row seats when they weren’t watching some entertainers!!  And of course I remember her supporting her kids and all their activities in school and community.  Sympathy to all your family.

Sheila was a constant in my young life… the dances the dinners, the cards, the joy of living.  Sincere condolences to family and friends.

Sheila became a very good friend when we met at Bergen Gardens. I really enjoyed conversations and time together. I will really miss her and so very sad about her passing. Sheila will be missed by us at Bergen Gardens.   She had such a joy to live and was very thankful to be so sharp at her age.  Sheila attended our Bible studies weekly at Bergen Gardens and loved to read God’s word.   She was of course, our main reader!  

I know that Sheila is with the Lord.  She constantly talked about the hope she had in Jesus.   

It was an honour sitting beside her every Wednesday praying and talking about life and faith.   

We will miss her!
