Sidney passed away March 18th after a long and well lived life.
Sidney grew up in Dominion City where he worked in his father’s store. In February 1939 he married Minnie Johnson and moved his family to the St. Vital area in 1948. For 30 years he worked for Canadian Pacific Railway Express and Transport, retiring in 1976. In 1990 Sidney and Minnie moved to Lion’s Place where Sidney was an active member of the residence council for many years.
Sidney was predeceased by his beloved wife Minnie in March 1994.
He will be missed by his daughter Lorna, son-in-law Dennis Monax, 2 grandsons, 2 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, generosity, and sense of humour.
In accordance with his wishes, a private family service well be held.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sidney’s memory to a charity of your choice.
