Sui Kam Yim (嚴梁瑞琴) passed away peacefully at her home in the early morning of January 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, one dear sister, son, and two sons-in-law.
Sui Kam will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, their spouses, and her extended family and friends in Winnipeg, Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Hong Kong. She will be remembered for her loving spirit, warm smile, strength, generosity, and the enduring bonds she built across generations and continents.
Born in Hong Kong, Sui Kam immigrated to Winnipeg in December 1981. From that time forward, her family was reunited and remained closely connected, sharing traditions, milestones, and everyday moments together, including her 100th and 101st birthday celebrations at her favourite restaurant, Sun Fortune. She had a lifelong love of playing Mahjong, where she found joy, companionship, and friendships that lasted a lifetime. Through her love of the game, she passed on to her family a simple truth: every hand is different, and every moment matters.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Luk for his outstanding dedication and compassionate care. They would also like to thank the home care team for their kindness, support, and compassion.
Respecting Sui Kam’s wishes, a viewing for family and close friends will be held on January 12th, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Cremation services will follow at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare Manitoba would be sincerely appreciated.
