She leaves to treasure her memory her loving husband of 59 years Colin, her children Heather (Marcel Dube), Michael (Cathy), Richard (Lois), as well as her grandchildren Nicole, Danielle, Jarid, Holly and Kirsty. Her memory will also be cherished by her many relatives and friends whom she referred to as her extended family, especially her best friends Alison and Doreen.
Verna lived a full and rich life. Colin and Verna loved each other deeply and spent over 60 years building a life and cabin together. She loved spending time with her family and friends, travelling to different destinations and spending every year at the lake tending to her garden, playing games and participating/supervising in the many building projects there.
A special Thank You to all the doctors, nurses and all of the other staff members at Victoria General Hospital for their loving care and compassion with Verna in her final days.
As per Verna’s wishes, cremation has taken place with no formal funeral service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Flowers are respectfully declined. A donation in her memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
