Peacefully and courageously surrounded by family, on January 6, 2011 at Riverview Health Center, Barrie lost his battle with cancer.
Left to celebrate his life are his wife Marilyn, of forty-two years; children Kim (friend Clem), Brent (Deb Rodger), Deb (Tim Austin); grandchildren Courtney Kenyon and Erika Austin and numerous family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Crosspoint Community Church, 554 Marsden St., Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Shane Brothers officiating. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to a charity of one’s choice.
A thank-you to the doctors and nurses at CancerCare Manitoba and a huge thank-you to the wonderful Health care team at Riverview Health Centre 3E Palliative Care Unit who took great care of Barrie on his last days.
Cremation has taken place and an interment will be held at a later date.
