

Amilee (Lee) Sizemore, 94 passed away peacefully on March 31, 2022 at Vienna Village Assisted Living. She was born in Crewe, VA in 1927 to Charles David (Dave) and Lenore Handy Caldwell. She was a member of Reynolda Presbyterian Church, a homemaker, and served various roles at Reynolda in the Women’s Ministry and worked in the Wake Forest University’s President’s office during her earlier years.
Lee is survived by her son, Thomas Edward Sizemore (Jettie); two grandchildren, Jonathan Sizemore (Kerri) and Jocelyn (Josie) Sizemore Bates (Daniel); three great-grandchildren, Noah, Ethan, and Sailor Bates. The love of her life, James (Jim) Edward Sizemore preceded her in death on Memorial Day, May 27, 2019. They were devoted to each other and celebrated 73 years of marriage together. Jim loved bluegrass music and Lee enjoyed listening as he played the dobro, guitar, harmonica, and sang songs at family gatherings.
She loved traveling and was especially fond of family trips to Myrtle Beach. Lee was devoted to her large extended family and enjoyed sharing stories about them. She was a very gifted artist and had a passion for working in her yard and flowers. She also loved Reynolda, had a strong faith in Christ and was willing to share it with others.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 3:30 PM at Reynolda Church, EPC, 2200 Reynolda Road, Winston Salem, NC 27106. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Reynolda Church from 2:30 to 3:30 prior to the service.
