She was born on August 13, 1931, in Fleuranceau, Saint-Marc, Haiti, to the late Dame Ladinette Saint Jean and Cajuste Henrisca. As the eldest of her siblings, Annette left school at a young age to help her mother raise and care for the family—an early reflection of the selflessness that would define her life.
Annette later worked as a merchant and was well known for her generosity and hospitality. Her home was always open, her kitchen always full, and no one ever left hungry. A wonderful cook, she found great joy in caring for her family and welcoming anyone in need.
A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Annette loved the Lord wholeheartedly. She enjoyed singing gospel songs, whether at church or at home, and faithfully served her church as President of the Deaconess Department and President of the Dorcas Department. She loved reading the Bible, praying, and visiting the sick, offering comfort and encouragement wherever she went.
On January 31, 1995, she left Haiti to join her daughter Louise in the United States, where she continued to live a life rooted in faith, service, and love for others. She remained actively involved in church and was always ready to help anyone in need.
Annette lived a long and meaningful life marked by humility, compassion, and devotion to God. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and a true woman of God. Her faith guided every aspect of her life, and she was a source of strength, wisdom, and encouragement to her family, church, and community.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Louise Philippe and Sandra Beauge (and her spouse, Wysvick Beauge); her grandchildren, Dr. Cassandre Dunbar (and her spouse, Dorian Dunbar), Dr. Marie Wisa, and Therry Beauge; her great-grandchildren, Noah and Ayden Dunbar; her nieces, Dieudonne Batraville, Mahalia Lercius Ceus, and Bathakaly Jean-Charles; her nephews, Jonathan, Pastor Manahen, and Enock; and her brother, Lionel Joachim, along with many other loved ones who will forever cherish her love, prayers, and godly example.
Though we mourn her passing, we rejoice in knowing that she has received her heavenly reward and now rests in eternal peace.
