Dan A Lynch Jr.

Dan A. Lynch Jr., 93, of Arapahoe NC, passed away August 1, 2021. Preceded in death by his first wife and mother of their children, Sue Carol Johnson, later in life his second wife Martha, his father Dan A. Lynch Sr. and mother Helen Archer Honeycutt Lynch of Winston -Salem.

Dan has two brothers, Dr. Grant W. Lynch (Ann Lynch), and Joe Lynch of Winston-Salem. Son, Daniel a Lynch 111 (Kristina Lynch) of Arapahoe NC, daughter Susan Lynch of Va. Beach VA, daughter Larkin A Bray (Mike Bray) of Chesapeake VA.

Grand children, Coy K Lynch of Oriental NC, Kenan E Lynch of Va. Beach VA, Jocelyn Holman (Marcus Holman) of Va. Beach VA, Alex Bray of Bristol TN, Samantha Bray of Chesapeake VA.

Dad was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He graduated UNC with a degree in Business. Being an avid outdoors man, he was one of the best quail and duck hunter around. Numerous 25 of 25 sporting clay rounds and an excellent pistol shot even into his late 80’s. He had a green thumb and enjoyed working in his yard and garden. In his younger years he was a, top of the line, canoeist, fisherman, water skier and swimmer.

Tina and I were blessed to have Dad live with us over the last three years. We enjoyed each morning and evening on the porch, overlooking the river with all its wildlife and changing conditions. “Mighty peaceful”, he would often retort. Those years will be fondly remembered. I’ll keep your shotguns oiled Dad.

Memorial service August 28, 2021 at Vogler Funeral & Cremations at Forsyth Memorial Park at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations to Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Wounded Warrior Project, both of which Dad supported.
