Lillian Byers Brooks

Lillian Byers Brooks passed away June 3, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born August 13, 1923 in Covington, VA to Henry Douglas Byers and Audrey E. Blose. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother. She is survived by two daughters, Audrey Collins (Don) of Winston-Salem, NC; Tracy Williams (Danny) of Stuart, VA; grandson, Adam M. Hamby of Pfafftown, NC; two step-grandsons, Cody Williams and Caleb Williams of Stuart, VA; numerous nieces and nephews; and one niece, Joyce Bird (George) of Verona, VA who holds a very special place in her heart. Lillian was a homemaker and loved home and her family. She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and a good friend to those who knew her well. She always had a sweet smile, and had a very loving, giving heart. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Frank Vogler & Sons Reynolda Road Chapel, 2951 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem, NC with a reception to follow at the funeral home.
