Linda Carol Heasley Clarke, affectionately called “Maz” by family and friends passed away on March 8th, 2024 in her bed at her family’s home in Pfafftown, NC.

Linda was born in Massillon, Oh December 26, 1943. Her family moved to Chicago IL when she was in elementary school, where she spent her school years and young adult life. Linda returned to Massillon, OH in the late 1970’s. She was very active in her daughter’s school, working as a playground monitor and room mother. Linda later worked as an office manager at a local family owned grocery store called Bordners for over 25 years.

Linda was known for her strong will, quick wit and feisty personality. She loved to play card games with her family and was active in a bunko club for many years. She was remarkably handy and loved maintaining her lawn. She adored animals and was known for taking in quite a few strays. Linda was an adoring grandmother who loved nothing more than spoiling her grandchildren on birthdays and holidays.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Robert Clarke; parents, Janet Guilliouma Heasley Wolfe, Robert Heasley, and Robert Wolfe: sister, Patricia Almeido; and niece, Wendy Uphuse. Linda leaves behind her daughter, Laura Clarke-Reitz and her husband Shanan; grandchildren, Brandon (Audrey), Starre Nicole (Joshua), Jackson, and Casey; great granddaughters, Mila and Ava; sister, Diane (George) Rader; nephews, Robert and Tracy; and niece Terri, along with many cherished loved ones.

The family would like to thank Trellis Supportive Care for their compassion and care for the past couple years, and a special thank you to her nurse Lyndsay.

The family plans to host a memorial service in Linda’s honor March 30th, details to follow.
