Ruth Ostella Winfrey Winfrey Robertson

Ruth was born December 2nd, 1926 in Forsyth County, to the late Carl Lee and Katie Rebecca Huffman Winfrey. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dalton Robertson; one sister Mary Holder; five brothers Robah, Burton, Kenneth, Roy and Donald Winfrey.

She is survived by a son; Larry Robertson and wife Brenda of Winston-Salem; two grandsons Dustin Robertson of Cocoa Beach, FL and Douglas (Amy) Robertson of Mooresville; great grandson Lucas; sister Carol Burnette of Asheville, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth and Dalton were married October 16th, 1946 in Reynolda Presbyterian Church. She began working for Western Electric in October 1946 and retired in 1981. She was a member of the Pioneers. She was a member of Shallowford Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons and the Salvation Army.

A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017 at Forsyth Memorial Park at 2pm, Pastor Bill James Jr officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 at Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home on Reynolda Road from 6pm to 8pm.
