A devoted son, father, and grandfather, Garry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of the outdoors, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Born on November 6, 1946, Garry spent his life building and shaping both the world around him and the lives of those he loved. He worked proudly as a carpenter, construction worker, and for the City of Winter Garden, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and craftsmanship.
Garry had a deep passion for deer hunting, fishing, and playing pool. He was a dedicated fan of football (GO DAWGS!) and baseball, but above all, he cherished quality time with his family. His warm presence, sense of humor, and generous spirit made him a cherished figure in the lives of those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jasper Leon Jackson, and his mother, Elizabeth Louise Jackson.
He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia (Todd Harms), Charlotte (Tommy Heisley), and Terrie Anne Jackson (Keith Anglin); his grandchildren, Crystal Cardwell, Jimmy Moore, and Lindsay Heisley; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 428 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida. A funeral service will follow from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A committal service will occur from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Winter Garden Cemetery North, Lake Butler Blvd, Winter Garden, Florida.
Garry’s life was a testament to love, loyalty, and hard work. Though he may be gone from our sight, he will never be gone from our hearts.
