Gene Franz

Gene Franz, 84 of Orlando, Florida passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 23, 1928 to Edward and Mathilda (Werner) Franz. Gene retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years of service as a Military Policeman and Missile Maintenance Technician. He was a member of the Conway United Methodist Church. Gene loved trains and built a garden train in his front yard. People love to come see Gene’s trains. Gene also loved spending time with his family, and he is survived by his loving wife Carol, his children: Joe (Suzanne) Franz, Debbie (Chuck) Secard, Rosalyn (Bill) Simmons, Mike (Loni) Franz, Rachelle (Jason) Setzer and Robert Franz, and by his grandchildren: Shaun Simmons, Steven Simmons, Duskin Franz, Eric Franz, Liza Franz, Zane Setzer and Joshua Setzer.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Gene’s life will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Conway United Methodist Church, 3401 South Conway Rd., Orlando, FL. Graveside service with Military Honors will be at 2 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
