James Lee Orme

He was a graduate of Haverling High School. After graduation, he served in the United States Air Force. He is retired from the Bath VA Fire Department and the Corning Incorporated Emergency Services. He had just received his 50 year service award from the Bath Fire Department where he was a past Chief and Firefighter.

Jim fulfilled his dream to move to Florida after retirement. He was an avid Disney fan and even worked at Disney as a Photopass Photographer. He was a willing tour guide to any friends and family that came to Florida. Jim settled into Florida keeping very busy joining many organizations. He was a member of the Real Life Church Safety Team and was instrumental in building it into the organization it is today through recruitment and training. He also helped his daughter Kelly open her shop Ruby & Rust.

He is predeceased by his parents and grandparents.

He is survived by his daughters Kelly Orme of Ocoee, FL and Stefanie Browne of Ruckersville, VA. Granddaughter Keira Browne of Ruckersville, VA. Sister Patricia (Dana) Robinson of Bath, NY. Niece Ashley (Ryan) Gotshall of Bath, NY and Nephew Jeffrey (Lauren Case) Robinson of Bath, NY. Mother of his children Susan Luta of Bath, NY. His dog companions Dexter and Augustus.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Real Life Church in Clermont on Monday, February 27th at 11 am. Memorials may be made in Jim's name to the Real Life Church at 1501 Steve’s Rd, Clermont, Florida 34711.
