Marian Irene Murray

Marian I. Murray of Ocoee, FL passed away on October 31 surrounded by her family. Marian was born in Vassar, MI and was proud of her Michigan heritage, though she considered herself a Floridian after living for 32 years in and around Orlando. One of her favorite pastimes was cheering on her beloved Michigan Wolverine sports teams and walking her dog, Zoey.

Marian loved her family the most and was devoted to her husband, son, and his family. She was married to her husband Dennis J. Murray for 56 wonderful years and described him as her best friend. Marian was a special Mom to Stephen J. Murray and supportive of his family; wife, Lisa and grandchildren, Emily and David. She will forever be known as Nana to her loving family.

She is also survived by an older brother, Stanley Burkowski, of Millington, MI and a younger sister and brother; Dorothy Crawford of Lake Ogemaw, MI and Robert Burkowski of Vassar, MI; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marian was a long-time active, practicing member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando and a Funeral Mass in her honor will be celebrated there on Thursday, November 8 at 8:30AM. An interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, FL. A reception will be held at 10:30-12:30 at their residence in Ocoee.
