My dear sweet friend Ms Ola has gone to be with Jesus. And while I am sad, my heart also rejoices for her.....she got to go home.
 Many an afternoon we spent reading the Word aloud, and what a blessing it was for the both of us.  She called me her sister, and even introduced me as her sister to the nurses, such a funny thing to do -  as we're clearly not related. The nurses all got a giggle out of that. She was so funny!!! 
But she loved me every bit like a true sister would. And I am grateful to have known her and loved her. She lived 87 years, and I only got to know her for 2 of them....I am grateful for every minute we did have.  Ola poured love into every single person she knew, with a special spice and flare as unique as she was.
Ill see you on the other side, Sister!!!

"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."

My dear and sweet friend Ms. Ola has gone to be with Jesus, and while I am sad, my heart also rejoices ....Many an afternoon we spent simply reading the Word aloud, and what a blessing it was for the both of us.  
She lived 87 years, and I only got to know her for 2 of those....this gentle and kind lady, who called me her "sister"... and loved me like a true sister would.  I miss her greatly.  She poured love into every single person she knew, but with a spice and a flare that as unique as she was.....

Ola always had a smile and a good word to share,  She was the sweetest little lady and had great faith.  I will remember her fondly and thank the Lord that I knew her and her love for God.  

Ola and Henry use to take me to church every Sunday when I was in high school when my grandmother Maureen had to work. She gave me a study Bible for Christmas once which I still use today 11 years later. 

Ola was one of the most beautiful Christian women that we have ever known. She inspired us with her courage and her faith. It was an honor to have been a part of her life and something my husband and I will always cherish. Our deepest sympathy goes out to her dear son and the rest of her family.

Oh Ola, what a joy to have known you. I'm incredibly thankful for Ola's wisdom. She spoke so much into my heart and life. Her love for the Word of God was contagious. Love you Ola! Thank you for everything. Miss your face. 


Mom is not here in her earthly body she is here in spirit and forever will be. Her focus was on God and family her love of helping others came from her love of God and life she gave without asking for anything in return working as a nursing assistant was her passion even after retiring her love for helping people remained strong. Anyone who met her sensed that passion in her actions: often we would read the word of God together and glean the richness of his grace.🙂

Ola's love for the King of kings was contagious.  She had a tenacity for sharing the Gospel and she loved the Word of God. What a joy she was. Now she is with the Most High, dancing and praising like never before. Victory.
She  had a conversation with one of our members once. It was after her brother passed away and they were talking about death and how humans get emotional. She said, "Oh don't be sad for me. I'll be in heaven." Her friend replied, "Yeah, but it will be sad. We'll miss you." Ola got real firm and said, "Don't you trust the Lord?" The friend said yes with a giggle.  "Okay, now don't be sad.  Now let me tell you about my pineapples!"

My favorite memory was going to Aunt Jeans house and had a lot of fun with Henry and Aunt Jean and Uncle Leland and Henry would come and see everybody alot.My thoughts and prayers🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏are with you Henry

Ola "Jean" I. Cox is survived by her son Henry Cox, one niece two nephews and other family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband T. Leland Cox, her parents Henry Warren and Annie Melvinie (Standfield) Silcox,  brother Frank Silcox, sister Louise King.
