

Richard M Furbush, 86, of Clermont Fl ,was called home on May 3rd, 2012, and now joins his beautiful wife Bonnie in Heaven after only two short months of being apart. Richard was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and He and Bonnie have left behind their family and friends a wonderful gift…..the meaning of True Love. Richard was born on March 8th, 1926 in Worcester Mass, to the late Fred and Julia Furbush. After graduating High School, he proudly joined the US Navy in 1943 and was a WW II Veteran, after almost 40 years he retired from the Naval Reserves in 1983. During his time in the Naval Reserves he was employed at the Glenn L Martin Company, which later became known as Martin Marietta and Lockheed Martin. He was extremely proud to also be employed by Planning Research Corporation as a member of the design team working on the Space Shuttle program at Kennedy Space Center. Along with his parents, Richard is also proceeded in death by his loving wife Bonnie of almost 65 years. He is survived by his three children, Alan Furbush, Nancy Farmer (Sam), and Steven Furbush (Debbie), 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 7, 2012 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in the chapel of Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, Winter Garden. Interment with military honors will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park, Florida. Donations can be made to Cornerstone Hospice of Lake County. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home.
