

Virgil was born on October 9, 1949, in Charleston. West Virginia. He graduated from Dunbar High School and carried with him throughout his life the values of hard work, determination, and loyalty that shaped his character.
On March 25, 1984, Virgil married the love of his life, Carole Kellner Scarbrough. Together they built a life rooted in devotion to family and shared commitment.
Virgil was an entrepreneur with a strong work ethic and vision. He founded A One A Produce, a wholesale produce business in South Florida, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 2004. Through his dedication and leadership, he built not only a successful business but also lasting relationships within the community.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Basil Scarbrough, and his brother, Paul Scarbrough.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carole Scarbrough; his children, Adam, Evan, and Sarah; and eight cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Janet Oxley, and his brother, Joseph Scarbrough.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 428 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida 34787. Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
