Virginia "Ginny" Mae Jones

Jones, Virginia Mae “Ginny” of Orlando, FL passed away in the early morning hours of September 17, 2024 at the age of 31. She was born in Hollywood, FL, and spent her formative years in Seattle, WA and Orlando, FL.

Ginny leaves behind her mothers Ilene Marie (Little) Jones and Wendy Jones; sister Elizabeth Jones (Matthew Peterson) recently of Medford, OR; sister Brooklyn Jones; nephew Owen Peterson; and a large extended family.

Ginny never married, but often stated that she would be the best maiden aunt to her nephew, and she was. Ginny was often referred to as a light, since she lit up every room with joy and happiness. Ginny graduated from Hagerty High School in 2011, and Valencia College in 2014. Ginny grew up as a fan of all things Disney, began working for Disney in the College Program in 2015, and never looked back. She was most recently at Disney’s Magic Kingdom where she loved spreading magic and pixie dust wherever she went. Ginny was an avid Anime fan from the first time she watched Sailor Moon at 3 years old, and was a forever student of the Japanese language and culture, and traveled to Japan twice on her own. Ginny was always on the move, playing at the theme parks, spending time with her friends, attending conventions, and making new friends wherever she was.

The world is a little dimmer, without her light.

Ginny will be interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Central, in Fort Lauderdale, FL at a future date.
