Zelda R. Hull

Zelda Louise Rutledge Hull, 93, of Oakland, Florida, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 17, 2019. She was born in Winter Garden, Florida, on November 30, 1925, to John David and Millie Lorena “Lora” (Tanner) Rutledge, and was the younger of 4 children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Horace Simeon Hull, Jr., who was the love of her life. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Robert Mitchell Hull; her parents; her sisters, Virginia Berry, and Harriet Roane; and her brother, J. D. Rutledge, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, April H. Shepherd and Lynda (Boyd) Sossamon; 3 grandchildren: Jordan Robert Shepherd, Jillian Lora (Cory) Cleek, and Caitlin Mary Shepherd, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 1, at 2:30pm at the Oakland Presbyterian Church. Family will receive friends after the service in the Church Fellowship Hall. A private family Interment will be at the Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Oakland, Florida, or to the First United Methodist Church, Sylva, North Carolina.
