Retired Social Worker for the State of Hawaii
Barb Rhinehart arrived Into the arms of her Savior in Winter Haven, Florida on 12/13/2019. She formerly lived in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii for 28 years prior to retiring and relocating to Florida in
2016. She was a child abuse investigator for the State of Hawaii for the 28 years and retired in 2012. She was born In Williamsport, PA and graduated from Montoursville Hich School in Montoursville, PA.
She also had college degrees from Quincy Junior CoIIege, Quincy, MA. A BacheIor's degree from Suffolk University, Boston, MA and a Master's degree from Western Kentucky University, Bowling
Green, Ky.
She was an avid fan and supporter of her New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. Her love for them began when she lived in Boston for 10 years. She loved to volunteer and did so at the Winter Haven Police Department and the Polk County Sheriff Department. In Kona she volunteered at the Kona Police Department and the Kona Library. She also was a board member of Kids Matter in Kona.
Her parents, her brother, and her sister preceded her In her death. She is survived by her sister,
Marion Rhinehart of Winter Haven, Florida and 3 nephews and 1 niece. Also her hanai sister Donna Springer of Hilo, Hawaii. She is also survived by her cat, Brady whom she loved dearly.
Recently she attended Redeemer City Church in Winter Haven, FlorIda. She loved the Lord and
believed she was blessed by His grace for the time she had on this earth. She looked forward to being in the arms of the Lord.
A celebration of life will be held at Grace Community Church, 74-4889 PaIani Rd, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740. This will be followed by the scattering of her ashes.
