Died on December 3, 2015 due to complications of COPD. Born in Sampson County, North Carolina to the late Albert Brewer and Gertrude Daughtry Westbrook on November 17, 1957.
George was a plumber by trade following in his Dad's footsteps, until an injury that forced a change of career to installing fire alarms. He became totally disabled in 2001, Coaching his children at softball and baseball was one of his pleasures and he was involved at both Miss Winter Haven Softball and Sertoma Park.
He is preceded in death by his son Brian Brewer, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Crystal Brewer, daughter Melinda Brewer of Winter Haven, sister Betty Gautier (Samuel) of Clinton, NC, brothers Delbert Jackson, Oldsmar, Fl. and Frank Brewer of St. Petersburg, Fl. Grandchildren Brian Brewer, Jr., Shane Butler, Ty Butler, Emma Butler , Zoey Butler of Winter Haven, and several nieces and newphews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday Dec. 7, Funeral service at 11:00 am Tuesday Dec. 8, 2015 at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Winter Haven.
