

James “Jamie” Watson Finkler, 80, of Winter Haven, Florida, entered into rest on January 17, 2025. Born in 1944, he was born and raised in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He earned his bachelor's degree in Marketing from Kent State University and spent much of his career in customer service in the marketing department of a major phone company. A devoted husband, he was married to his loving wife Linda for 51 years, and together they raised their family in West Hartford, Connecticut and built a life full of love, family, and memories.
In his retirement, James pursued his interests in wine making, gardening, and tackling various projects around the house.
Fifteen years ago, James and Linda relocated to Florida, where he continued to find joy in the company of his sons and grandchildren, even though distance kept them apart at times. He will be remembered for his kind heart, and his dedication to family.
James is survived by his wife Linda Finkler, sons Josh Finkler (Amy) and Bennett Finkler (Rachel), as well as one brother, John Finkler (Ann), two grandchildren, Murray and Maren, cousin Tracy and her family, sister in law Carol and her husband Rod, mother in law Zora, as well as several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Mary Finkler, and a brother, Fritz Finkler.
