James is survived by his wife of 61 years, Darla L Moore; children Leisha Moore and Byron (Kimberley)Moore; granddaughter Kadence Moore: and preceded in death by daughter Patty Sue Moore. He is also survived by his sister Cheryl (Jerry) Jefferson; nieces and nephews Chris(Curry) Kaitlyn, Levi and Maggie Jefferson, as well as other extended family members and friends. He was also preceded in death by his mother Avis Gulley Sartain (Forrest).
Prior to retirement James was a law enforcement officer with the Florida Game and Fish Commission (GFC) for 33 years.
Donations in Mr Moore's memory may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
