Jonathan Rivera Hernandez

He was born on July 29, 1989 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He moved with his family to New York at the age of one. At the age of five, he and his family relocated to Winter Haven, FL where he remained until the time of his death.

Jonathan loved sports and was a fan of the Florida State Seminoles. He enjoyed watching boxing and UFC fights, especially with his Brother-in-law Luis.

He was passionate about music and you could always find him with headphones on listening to music. He expressed himself through his music and enjoyed recording with his friends.

Jonathan had overwhelming kindness and compassion for everyone he met, but his greatest love was for his family. He was a loving father, son, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle, but his greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his two young sons.

Jonathan is survived by his sons Jonathan Lofton Rivera and Liam Jay Rivera of Winter Haven, FL, his mother and father, as well as his sister, Karla Albino (Luis), brothers Edmanuel Carrasquillo (Rosa), Melvin Carrasquillo, all of Winter Haven, FL and his brother Ramon Rivera of New York; Beloved grandparents Rosario Martinez & Jose Hernandez and Edith & Andres Rivera; three nephews and four nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother Christian Omar Carasquillo in 2007.

Visitation will be Monday, November 30, 2015 at Ott Laughlin Funeral Home, 645 W Central Avenue, Winter Haven, FL from 1pm-2pm with services immediately following.
